CRISTINA'S STORY

CHICAGO 2002
Bruce was absolutely adorable. He's my favorite Kid, so as soon as he came over to where I was standing, my social anxiety disorder kicked in. I meekly asked him for an autograph and a picture, and it was over before I knew it. I really wanted to tell him how much I loved "Bob Seger" and "Shame-Based Man" but I was completely tongue-tied. Oh well. I could have sworn that Bruce only came up to my ear when he stood next to me, but when I got my pictures back, I could see that it wasn't true. (And yes, I am wearing a "Mamma Mia" T-shirt. Shut up.)

MILWAUKEE 2002
When Bruce come out, he was, not surprisingly, surrounded by a bunch of girls. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt that said "Canada" on it. I asked him to sign the booklet of his new CD, which he did. When I reached out to take it back, he held my hand for a second, then patted it and said, "Thanks for coming to see us." Then he went off to sign other things. I really wanted to get another picture with him, but for some reason I forgot to ask (stupid, stupid).
